What this test measures
Number memory measures verbal short-term memory — the classic digit span. A number flashes on screen; you type it back from memory. Each round adds one digit. Your score is the longest number you reproduce correctly.
How to play
A number appears for a few seconds, then disappears. Type it back exactly and press Enter. Each correct round adds one more digit.
How to improve
- Chunk the digits into pairs or threes, like a phone number.
- Say them to yourself as they appear.
- Don't panic at length — rehearse the chunks in a loop.
